Struggling to find fresh post ideas? I have an idea

"It is hard to always have fresh ideas to post about. Hoping to gain insight and inspiration to keep us relevant."

"I am hoping to see some other posts from other Veterinary Social Media Managers to see what else I can do to improve our socials."

"I'd like to become more creative with our social media page. I'm hoping that I'll get some great ideas here."

This is the feedback I get on the daily from members inside my FB group, Veterinary Social Media Managers. And I bet you have been in the same boat, looking for fresh, new ideas, ways to improve and increase your social media presence, ways to increase your engagement, or simply ways to break out of your content creativity block (similar to writer's block, but for content).

I have been there, too, and struggled with all that when managing social media and all marketing things for my practice. Shoot I still do!

It's a tough place to be, especially when you're trying to learn everything social media entails, create the content, and keep up with all the trends and updates... all within a limited time to work on it all. 🤪

When I left my practice in 2019 to pursue full-time social media management for other veterinary businesses, I was determined to help my colleagues in practice and create solutions that cut their time with social media in half while accomplishing more and generating more results.

So that's when I got an idea—an idea I have only told a few people. Since you've subscribed to my newsletter, I'm going to tell you, but you've got to keep this between you and me, okay, Reader?

This idea is still being developed, but I want your input and see what you think.

Here it goes...

Imagine monthly social media trainings and challenges, but it has a secretive hideout theme where you unlock the mysteries around social media for vet practices and learn the secrets to bending time and engagement to work for you. In this hideout, members also have the opportunity to work alongside others to plan their monthly social posts, get strategy support straight from their Guide, and access the Guide's enchanted content stash, where she keeps her best secrets and weapons to conquer content creativity blocks and marketing tasks. 🪄

Like I said, this idea is still being developed, but if you like it and would like to explore this hideout more, I'll keep pursuing it and discovering where this secretive hideout may reside!

I wish I had this when I was in the practice and new to using social media for a business. I didn't know who to turn to for advice or who to trust, and I definitely didn't know where to look for all the updates, trends, and tools to use. I spent so much time (like the last 10 years) and my own money to learn and search for the resources and knowledge I needed to do my job. But I know you probably don't have the time or resources to go down the rabbit trail like I did. 😅

I'll keep you updated on how this all turns out. In the meantime, if you need post ideas to help you get through the next week, I have some ideas for you:

🗓 Upcoming Social Media Post Ideas

August is almost over, but if you need some last-minute post ideas for the last week of August, check these out:

  1. Back-to-School Pet Safety Tips: As kids head back to school, it’s a great time to remind pet owners about safety tips, especially for pets who might be experiencing changes in routine. You can share a carousel post or a short video with tips like keeping school supplies out of reach, ensuring pets have plenty of attention when the house gets quieter, and watching for signs of anxiety in pets adjusting to new routines.

  2. Summer Wrap-Up: Favorite Pet Moments: Invite your followers to share their favorite pet memories from the summer. You can start the conversation by posting a picture or video of a memorable moment from your team or clients. This is a great way to boost engagement and celebrate the tail-end of summer together.

  3. Celebrate National Dog Day (August 26th): Use National Dog Day to spotlight the canine companions that bring so much joy to our lives. You could share a special offer, feature adorable dog patients, or highlight the importance of regular check-ups for dogs.

Check out more August post ideas (for both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres) here, or get even more post ideas from my website here.

Stay tuned for even more September post ideas next week!

💪Practices ready to conquer their struggles with social media on a deeper level, this is for you:

For practices looking to get to the bottom of why social media isn't working for them or looking to take their social media to the next level, I offer a few ways we can work together to help you accomplish your next goals.

  1. Social Media Audit & Strategy Session: If your social media isn't performing well, it's time to review what's currently working (and not). I’m now offering one-on-one strategy sessions, where we’ll review your current social media presence and develop a tailored action plan to help you achieve your goals. Book your session here.

  2. Custom Marketing Strategies: Marketing a veterinary practice is not a one-size-fits-all approach and requires a strategy that works with YOUR practice and business goals. If you're ready to cut through all the buzz and fluff of all the latest trends and general advice and get down to what will get YOU engagement and clients, let's work together to bring you a customized strategy geared to YOUR practice's business goals and mission here.

  3. Private Team Marketing Training: If you're ready to delegate the social media marketing responsibilities to a team member or get your whole team involved with social media marketing, you are going to need workflows, systems, and resources to ensure everyone on your team is on the same page. With my 6-month team training program, I do the heavy lifting for you by creating SOPs, providing marketing tools to use in-house, and training your in-house social media manager to manage and run your practice's social media based on your practice's workflows and business goals. Apply here.
